Juggling!

Are you juggling trying to keep balance in your life?

Coming across this graphic today reminded me of something I read many, many years ago and it was forever embedded in my mind. It went something like this:

Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling five balls in the air.

You name them: Work, Family, Health, Friends and Spirit and you’re keeping all of these juggling in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls (family, health, friends and spirit) are made of glass.  If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same.

You must understand that and strive for balance in your life.

Don’t let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live ALL the days of your life.

Also, remember that a person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated.

Most importantly take care of your health and family!

  1. SWEET (As my grandson would say). Always life salvaging stuff here. I like it, and yes, that is one good illustration.
We all do juggle, I am surprised, even in retirement, we juggle!

Thanks for a reminder, one needed by many.
    Love and hugs from NC!!!

  2. Keeping things in balance is important. It's important to not lose sight of what truly matters. Sometimes people to get caught up in the mundane and miss opportunities that would have meant a lot. Hope your Sunday is a wonderful one!

  5. Very nice, Rose. Love you snowflake graphics. We did have snowflakes this week too! I am kind of glad I only have to juggle 4 balls! Well, 6, if you count Peter!!!!

Can't believe we'll be in Fl in 1 1/2 months---real scary how fast time passes isn't it?
