Don't Forget Daylight Savings Time this Weekend!

The Daylight Saving Time 2011 time change is fairly simple:

Most anything computerized, from a cell phone to a laptop, jumps ahead on its own.  Watches and clocks need to be reset manually, so we can inevitably forget to change one and confuse ourselves the next day.  And, I always forget to reset my clock in the car!

Why can't we just leave the clocks on Daylight Savings all the time?

  1. I too think they should leave it at one time and forget the changes. I know though that it would get dark an hour earlier in the winter and it already seems like such a short day with long nights... I do miss that hour of sleep I loose every year.

  3. we in Arizona do leave the clock alone ! That is one thing that they got right....I love it...
Many years ago I saw a news item about a boarder town is some state or another, that opted to let the residents decide for them self. The government and schools all had to be on the same time but business could decide what worked best for them as long as they posted the time....LOL
I will point out it was a small farming town....Wish I could remember where they were and if they were still doing that

  4. Again, you expect logic. Logic from the folks who spend what they dont' have.

I don't think I have ever met the person who appreciates the changes in time. No one seems to like it, so I too wonder why???

  5. Thanks, Rose! I like changing the clocks this time of year. That extra hour of sunlight means I can often squeeze in a walk by the beach when I get home from work.

  6. No matter what I do, how much I plan or what condition I am in upon arrival at my place, I'm always amazed that every clock I own has the wrong time!

  8. I had a college roommate who never set his watch ahead. He was English and didn't believe in it. He spent half a year calculating.

I haven't had time to do much blogjogging. But I'm trying.
