It is hard to tell what season it is living in Florida!
When I grew up and lived in New England....yes you can actually smell Spring in the Air!I was sitting out in my patio enjoying my coffee this morning admiring my orchard plant that has grown three new shoots......looking forward to seeing it bloom. I love orchards but I have never had the luck of having them rebloom for me....I have high hopes for this one! My daughter purchased this orchard for me during her last visit.
Did you ever notice in nature, the color palette never clash. The beautiful green lawns and the streets lined with palm trees and all the beautiful flowers in various colors. Something very pleasant to wake up to each morning. That is one plus for Florida!
Yet, I do miss the change of seasons up north. The beautiful foliage, the trees covered in snow, the tulips blooming during spring time. Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring.

Enjoy your spring day!
ReplyDeleteWhen I put up pictures of our place the other day, I know much of it looks brown and drab. But I know what it will look like in a few weeks, and it's that promise that keeps me going through the winter!

Coffee please! Enjoy your spring day. Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Rose,
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about having pretty much one season all year round ... but as far as I'm concerned, winter is for the birds. No, correction, the birds are smart enough to migrate!
Best,
Marty
Hey Rose, enjoy the palms and flowers. Hope the Orchid does you proud. Some times I miss the seasons, but mostly not. This year we started North too soon, got into a little snow and freezing weather in NC. Still not New England that is for sure. But we missed Florida justr as soon as the temp his 32 degrees F.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

PS: BTW we will head for New England just as soon as we can. Got any suggestions for eating places North of Boston?
ReplyDeleteI may love the changing seasons here in NY. But I truly miss the ocean something fierce. Hope today finds you loved dear friend. (Hugs)Indigo
ReplyDeleteHope it stays nice and mild for you for a while, enjoy the nice weather.
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait for some rain to "green things' up a bit. It may seem to some that there is only one season down here. But, I'm sensitive to the subtle changes. You are soooo right about the colors of nature never clash. They just don't-It's truly amazing.
ReplyDeletehugsss...
to Jack69,
ReplyDeleteEmail me what cities you will be traveling through north of Boston and I will provide some nice restaurants for you. What type of food do you like?????
Hugs,Rose
I enjoy visiting family in Florida, but I would miss the changing seasons too much to live there. And I love the hills here -- Florida is too flat. Even though I will complain when it is too cold or too snowy or too rainy or too hot, I still love seeing the changing colors. Hope you are having a very good week!
ReplyDeleteI do love experiencing the different seasons but I wouldn't mind never experiencing winter!
ReplyDeleteHave a good night.
That was the name of the Indian Princess! I know that for a fact because of my former relationship with her sister, Princess Once In A Blue Moon."

I did notice that colors never clash in nature. And God puts all kinds of colors together. I often think of nature when I paint or decorate and am deciding what colors to put together. So, I am leaving you a comment, hi Rose... please let me know if you are alerted from google or AOL... Hugs to you, dear one... Love, Val xox
