Sharing "The Old Paths"

I liked the old paths, when
Moms were at home.
Dads were at work.
Brothers went into the army.
And sisters got married BEFORE having children!

Crime did not pay;
Hard work did;
And people knew the difference.

Moms could cook;
Dads would work;
Children would behave.

Husbands were loving;
Wives were supportive;
And children were polite.

Women wore the jewelry;
And Men wore the pants.

Women looked like ladies;
Men looked like gentlemen;
And children looked decent.

People loved the truth,
And hated a lie.

They came to church to get IN,
Not to get OUT!

Hymns sounded Godly;
Sermons sounded helpful;
Rejoicing sounded normal;
And crying sounded sincere.

Cursing was wicked;
Drugs were for illness.

The flag was honored;
America was beautiful;
And God was welcome!

We read the Bible in public;
Prayed in school;
And preached from house to house.

To be called an American was worth dying for;
To be called an American was worth living for;
To be called a traitor was a shame!

Sharing memories of the old paths!

BOSTON STRONG!

A 19-year-old college student wanted in the Boston Marathon bombings was taken into custody Friday evening after a manhunt that left the city virtually paralyzed and his older brother and accomplice dead.

Police announced via Twitter that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was in custody. They later wrote, CAPTURED!!! The hunt is over. The search is done. The terror is over. And justice has won. Suspect in custody."

Photo on the left, Tsarnaev's brother, 26-year-old Tamerlan, was killed Friday in a furious attempt to escape police.

Photo on the right, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had been in a boat in a Watertown neighborhood. The crowd gathered near the scene let out a cheer when spectators saw officers clapping.

"Everyone wants him alive," said Kathleen Paolillo, a 27-year-old teacher who lives in Watertown. (I don't know if everyone agrees with "Kathleen Paolillo").  Why, I don't believe everyone wants him alive, as suspects never talk and tell you why they did what they did, the taxpayers are stuck with the medical bills, legal bills and room and board for this scum bag that will be held in jail if he survives!

He killed our people!  Enough said about that.

Boston Mayor Tom Menino tweeted "We got him," along with a photo of the police commissioner speaking to him. Watertown residents poured out of their homes and lined the streets to cheer police vehicles as they rolled away from the scene.  I was watching TV and cheering along with them!

During a long night of violence Thursday into Friday, the brothers killed an MIT police officer, severely wounded another lawman and hurled explosives at police in a car chase and gun battle, authorities said.

Authorities in Boston suspended all mass transit and warned close to 1 million people in the entire city and some of its suburbs to stay indoors as the hunt for Suspect No. 2 went on. Businesses were asked not to open. People waiting at bus and subway stops were told to go home. The Red Sox and Bruins postponed their games.

From Watertown to Cambridge, police SWAT teams, sharpshooters and FBI agents surrounded various buildings as police helicopters buzzed overhead and armored vehicles rumbled through the streets. Electronic Robots and Police Dogs all searching about.  Authorities also searched trains.

"We believe this man to be a terrorist," said Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis. "We believe this to be a man who's come here to kill people."

The bombings on Monday killed three people and wounded more than 180 others, tearing off limbs in a spray of shrapnel and instantly raising the specter of another terrorist attack on U.S. soil.

I watched a mother of five from Wakefield, MA on TV saying she got a phone call telling her that two of her older sons watching the Marathon each had to have one of their legs amputated.

I tried hard not to watch TV as I was getting so upset and nervous but at some point during each day, I had to watch the News to see whatever updates they had.

I heard on TV that thanks went out to President Obama who gave Boston everything they needed to help capture these murderers!

Thank You, Mr. President!

BOSTON STRONG!

Live every moment in the truth!

Live the truth of who you are!

Truth is not something you must be told. Truth is truth because you recognize it so completely, oh yes, you definitely know the truth.

Observe your own self-talk as your emotions go up and down like a roller coaster ride.

Analyze any judgments you might have about the way you feel. These thoughts translate into what you believe to be true about yourself. They can be accurate or inaccurate and worse  damaging to others as well as to yourself.  Only you can decide if change is in order.

The winners in life realize that life is interconnected.

Remember that every thing that you do today will come back to you at some point and time. It's called Karma!  So even when things are going bad, remain a winner and perform with integrity.

A good reputation is worth far more than any momentary gain that taking advantage of someone might bring them.

Take pride in yourself and be a good person.
